Here's a silly potato quality photo of my buddy.
In the morning, I usually first see him in the backyard pine tree as I'm making lunches. Then when I'm done, I see him in the front yard. Sometimes, he's just at the end of the driveway, other times in the tree waiting for his peanuts.
Gabe sits in the car waiting on the kids because he drives them to school and he reads his news or listens to NPR. The crow usually hops onto the roof of the car and then goes to the garage door latch to get his peanuts. LOL It's tricky today because it's trash day, so his usual hopping onto the trash barrels to get his peanuts is a little different when there's no barrels. Not sure what he did, but he did get his peanuts. I'm guessing he landed on the actual garage door latch for a few seconds.
After he's done with his peanuts, he's seen in this tree next to the driveway while Matt waits for his bus.
The most funny part about all of this is that everyone is teasing me, but every single one of them looks for him and checks to see if he ate the peanuts. Every day! So I know everyone is actually equally as entertained as I am even if it does indeed seem crazy. LOL
I was doing dishes a few minutes ago and above my sink is a window that faces the backyard. He flew onto the roof of our 3 season porch and was just looking at me as I was doing dishes. LOL It was super funny. Then earlier I was in the bathroom brushing my hair and he was in the backyard pine tree and I said hey go get your peanut out the bathroom window and he cawed. Was hilarious. LOL
I'm waiting to see if there will be some sort of competition with the blue jays and my crow. Hope not. We do get a lot of blue jays though and they love peanuts.
I'm thinking of using a whistle to let him know when his peanuts are there to see if I can train him. LOL If I use a whistle, then maybe I can move the peanuts anywhere I want to and call him to get them.
