It’s funny you mentioned the gross and sweaty part. This is so funny, but Miranda’s teacher actually emailed a note regarding the use of deodorant. I was proud of her just putting it out there before school had even started. I am not kidding that I can still smell this one kid in my memory from 8th grade! Thing is, it’s not like he never showered. He was a clean cut kid, dressed well. I just never understood how he could smell so bad when we were required to shower after gym! We all suffered and he was in all of my classes. I remember thinking, I wish the teacher would say something or just hand him a deodorant because all of us in the class were way too nice and never said anything other than jokingly saying it smelled in the room. His smell coupled with the boys cologne and the girls perfume was just enough to make you want to vomit daily.
I don’t blame you at all with soccer. Also another sport that is all encompassing. Zach and Ally did it for 3 years. Don’t know what it’s like there, but here, the soccer parents got more hardcore than the football parents. LOL Zach and Ally were much younger when they played soccer and I thought wow, okay they take this soccer thing very seriously at this age. LOL Who knew?
As much as I love all the activities my kids have done and currently do, there are times, I’m just tired or I have other things I really want to get done,
Between marching band and pom, we see every single Freshman, JV and Varsity football home game. I don’t dislike football, but let’s face it, that’s a lot of football! LOL Plus, it costs the price of a movie theater ticket, so there’s that, too. Basically, it’s at least a game a week which doesn’t sound like much, but it’s an all night about 4 hour thing from dropping off the kids for call-time and the ticket line to getting home and even longer because we have to pick them up from their parties.
They’re having some sort of parent band night tailgate thing tomorrow and it’s senior night, too, They announce the seniors and their parents. There’s a high percentage that I’ll be Sara Knoll! Thankfully, parents aren’t being requested on the field. They have done that before! I’m guessing we will have to stand. Maybe there will be too many seniors and it will just be a quick blip. LOL Better do my hair and makeup! LOL
