Finally got the kitchen side of the counter cleared (it’s 3’ wide and 10’ long, so it is a HUGE catch-all and takes a fair amount of work to clear it.
Vacced the office. Gave up on my Christmas roping idea. More trial & error before that is going to work the way I wanted it!
Worked again on the knitted/crocheted rug, it’s 9.75" now. Only 2.25 inches or 9 rows until I change colors again. Huzzah! Let me repeat: I will never, ever, ever again make a rug this way! It is way, way too much work! The method is fine, but the yarn I am using, although it looks wonderful is much too small for the technique, unless you were making coasters or something small. A 3’ rug, which is my planned goal is 36 x 4 or 144 rows, and of course the rows get bigger as the rug gets bigger too, so it takes more work…
If I’m lucky, I’ll have it done before Tax Day!
