So I have not kept up here....but.....I have all my receipts in a pile so am going to update the totals. This is from several different stores....several trips.....and I am well stocked on meat now! I will look for more marked down hamburger soon to make hamburger patties but other than that going to use my great buys up! I am so excited about finding the little marked down section in the local store where, if I get there early, I can buy high quality meat for half price because it is sell by date.
So last was $87.54 groceries and $23 eat out/take out.
$3.48 bread store for pastries for father in law which he is not eating and hubby is so waste of money and not good for hubby's diabetes!
$21.46 Safeway....veggies and sale stuff
$41.07 thriftway......lots of half price meat, tomatoes and ravioli ( on sale, thin pasta, thought I would try for hubby)
$28.99 Fred and Meyer ......veggies, bananas, 1 lb hamburger and fancy prepared chicken to barbque for dinner and small deli potato salad
$43.57.....rosaures......sale chicken, lunch meat and few assorted things
$46.23 Costco ( in the area and driving right by NOT a special trip) nuts for granola, cheese, bread, water bottles.
So $199.33 + 87.54 = $286.87 groceries
$7 take and bake pizza ( hubby got the special, said it was "ok") father in law had pizza slices in freezer still and I made some from freezer naan bread, sauce and cheese on hand....so $7 for pizza night plus 2 lunches for hubby.
So $7 plus $23 for take out/eat out= $30
$316.87 total for April food so far for 3 adults
Father in laws birthday next weekend will through a kink in things!
No Easter dinner around here this year......first time in my life:( but saved me about $100 so looking at the bright side!
