I am in full frugal mode and it is amazing how having it to think about has really been good therapy for my mind. I have not been this "busy" with things in my own life in over a year. I forgot how much I missed it. I am switching to being physically tired at the end of the day instead of just mental tired and drained at the end of the day and oh I will take that any day!
Picked wild sweet pea flowers on my early morning walk.
Finally got to the red onions from last years garden that I should have dealt with months ago. Only was able to salvage about 1/3 of them but of that I made the quart of refrigerator pickled red onions pictured from the best bites blog.
Froze 2 quarts of chopped recipe ready onions and have 2 peeld and ready to use in the fridge for this week.
Picked a bowl of berries from the garden.
Reusing the plastic produce bags for the garbage cans in 2 of the bathrooms. Why did it just dawn on me they fit those small cans perfectly? I have been throwing them away for years!
Walked to my moms to walk her dog today instead of driving. It is such a short distance and only took 10 minutes each way bonus of extra exercise.
Hubby and I have been picking the tiny wild blackberrys along our fence. They are his favorite and we usually only get enough for one or two small pies but free! Pretty soon the regular size wild black berries will be ready and we use and freeze them.
Hung both loads of laundry on the line after drying them for 3-5 minutes in dryer so they don't get crunchy.
